It was the day after arriving at Ilvermorny for her 6th year Arya wanted to take a look at the grounds of the school, once again. It was definitely a sight to behold, the beautiful castle, the glistening lake, and if you were in just the right spot, you could see the beautiful castle's reflection off of the glistening lake. That is where Arya enjoyed spending her time when it was nice. There were many different spots around the school that she would go to in order to be alone, but this one was by far her favorite; mostly because no one ever bothered her. She was enjoying the people watching. 1st years, she believed. Those were always the students who walked around with shock and awe all over their faces for at least the first month or so. It was something her friends would make fun of, but it was something she wished she could go back and enjoy again. Because once you're not so use to the school you can start to see the cracks and imperfections that surround it.
Ok, so maybe Arya was feeling a little depressed. She did just say goodbye to her family and no-maj friends just a day ago, after all. While she was excited to see her Ilvermorny friends again, she definitely missed being home. She usually takes a day or so to be alone, hence the reason she was alongside the lake where no one could bother her. She sat on a rock, somewhat tanning in the sun with her short shorts and tank top on; her flip flops left at the base of the rock. It was definitely a heaven away from home.

Term had just started, and Hera was loving it already. It was her fifth year at Ilvermorny, though it seemed like longer. Not longer in a bad way, with the time dragging by, but instead in a good way, seeming like it was her home. She would spend hours in the common room, just talking with her friends or reading by the fireplace, or hike around a mountain trail if she wanted. However, she spent the majority of her time in the lake, since after all, she was a mermaid. Mermaids were unlike one might think, only turning into one upon contact with water, which made having a normal life relatively easy since there were always drying spells.
Hera had finished all her work early today, so made her way to the lake, a place where she could find peace, just swimming around, going deep underwater or staying near shore as she pleased. However, her excursion was soon interrupted when she heard someone else in her place she thought was private. It wasn't bad, no she liked people, but it surprised her. Coming fully above water and moving closer near shore, well, the grass near the lake, she looked at the girl who was now there. She recognized her faintly from seeing her in the halls, and she thought she was in her house, too, though who knew if this girl even knew who she was. "Oh, hello."
