Appearance:
Kate is the definition of tiny but mighty. Standing at a whopping 5 feet and 1 1/2 inches, she will fight anyone to the death that attempts to call her short. Her short brunette hair cloaks her doll like features. She has little blue-gray eyes, and wears little makeup. Kate values comfort over style, and can usually be seen with a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans on. Along with that, she never leaves home without her trusty backpack, full of the things needed to go on an adventure. Kate is often described as "cute" or "adorable," but doesn't like it.
Personality:
Kate is little ball of energy. Being in Thunderbird, she loves going on adventures, and finding out new things about the world. She is also quite independent, since she grew up with many siblings and had to learn to rely on herself. Also while growing up, she learned much about the no-maj world, especially video games. When she first walked into an arcade, it was love at first sight. She would drag her parents, and their wallets, to the arcade closest to their house and spend way to much time trying to win Pacman. Her nerdiness helped Kate to bond with may of her no-maj born classmates. Kate is very studious, and has reputation of being one of the top in her class.
History:
Katherine Webber was born to Christopher and Alissa Webber on the 5th of April in the small town of Missoula, Montana. She is the baby of the family, with three older brothers, and was usually handled with care and concern. Her family was one of the only wizard families in her quiet little town. So much so, that when her eldest brother, Thomas, accidentally hexed her when she was two, it took almost a hour to get the nearest wizard hospital. Luckily, her family was full of healers and could easily fix her up enough for the ride to the hospital.
Growing up in a small town, Kate had longed for an escape. Whenever her family took trips to England, where her father's family lived, she would spend days planning what to do and where to go. Traveling was one of her favorite things to do, and would often wander into the woods behind her home for hours.
All of her family had been proud Pukwudgies, and when going into her first year at Ilvermorny, she was expected to be one as well. Kate had become nervous thinkng that she might not join her brothers, and that she would be all alone. On the way to Ilvermorny, one of her brothers, Luke, reassured her by saying, "Every single Webber that has step into Ilvermorny was a Pukwudgie, and I don't think a little nerd like you will stop that tradition." He was, however, wrong. When Kate was sorted, the Pukwudgie didn't even flinch, instead the Thunderbird and Horned Serpent move towards the small and distraught first year. In the end, she chose Thunderbird as her home. Kate's family wasn't the happiest, but they didn't get angry with her, because, as her mother said in an owl shortly after the sorting, "We all felt a T-Birds brewing in you."
Kate's first year was a lonely one, which could be one of the reasons she became top of her class. Since she had no prior wizard friends, nor a family in the same house as her, she usually spent her time in the library studying alone. In her second year, she tried bonding with her fellow Thunderbirds, and got a few friends out of it. However, none of them became very close to her. However, in her third year she got many friends her in her house, and gained a pride for it. She would often tease her brothers about how much better Thunderbird was compared to Pukwudgie.
Going into her fourth year, Kate was determined to find new friends in and out of her house. She also wanted to keep her reputation of being top of her class as well. Kate was looking forward to the prospect of the new year at Ilvermorny.
