Summer Has Gone [LB]

Every story ever told has a beginning, just as every action has a consequence. It's quite amazing how one small unforeseen event can change the tapestry of time and fate.

In this case, our story starts about twenty years ago, in the tumultuous days of Robert's Rebellion against the Mad King. The entire land of Westeros was in chaos, with families falling apart as cousins fought cousins, and Robert and his forces were on the eve of sacking King's Landing when something remarkable happened. For the first time in many centuries, a long-lost believed group of Houses residing on the believed mythical Strange Isles and its inhabitants returned and turned the tide of the war in the favour of the Targaryens. Robert ended up dying in his efforts, and after a time peace slowly returned to Westeros.

The Islands remained for a year, during which some of Westeros' citizens migrated to new homes as a number of weddings occurred following the start of a new peacetime.

Then, one day the islands were simply gone again and with them, everyone living on them.

Nearly two decades would pass, and now Rhaegar Targaryen sits upon the iron throne in King's Landing, a far more kind and saner ruler than his father before him, and peace has lasted. At least until now, as secret plans and conspiracies begin to unfold among certain noble families who wish for their own to sit on the throne, and far, far to the north beyond the wall an ancient threat once again rises, ready to bring death to all those living in Westeros and the rest of the world.

The future is once more uncertain as these threats loom ever closer, and as if a sign from the gods, the Strange Isles have once again reappeared.

There are many houses and clandestine alliances being formed, though the one true threat will soon be undeniable as news of the white walkers reaches past the wall. Long-lost family members will resurface and civil war looms on the horizon. Who will you swear loyalty to in these troubling times?
